Founded in 1985		Data collection and analysis service for pharmaceutical manufacturers begins.
1992	April	Kazuo Nakamura becomes representative director. CMIC becomes Japan's first CRO.
1994	February	The Clinical Development Department is established.
1994	September	Four CRO companies join together to form the Japan CRO Association.
1996	April	The Osaka branch is established.
1996	June	CMIC becomes Japan's first CRO to start a CRC business.
1998	June	CMIC Korea Co.,Ltd. is founded.
1999	April	Kazuo Nakamura becomes chairman of the Japan CRO Association.
1999	July	The Kyushu branch is established.
2000	March	The Hokkaido branch is established.
	April	The first recruitment of participants for a clinical trial in Japan begins.
	July	CMIC-CRC Co., Ltd. is founded. The CRC business is spun off into different companies.
	August	CIM Co., Ltd. (CMIC-MPSS Co.,Ltd.)is founded. CSO business commences.
	October	The Tohoku branch is established.
2001	January	The Nagoya branch is established. CMIC-BS Co., Ltd. is founded. Human resources business commences.
2001	September	CMIC China (Beijing, liaison office) is founded.
2002	June	CMIC is listed on the JASDAQ market.
2002	November	Assistance for investigators’ clinical trials started.
2003	June	PCN Co.,Ltd.(Healthclick Co.,Ltd.) is founded.
2004	April	The Chugoku branch and Hokuriku branch are established.
	June	CMIC is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
	July	CMIC(Beijing) Co.,Ltd. is founded (registration is approved in August). The Institute of Applied Medicine, Inc. is acquired as a subsidiary.
2005	January	MDS Co.,Ltd. begins a drug marketing support business (provision of strategic sales promotion materials).
	March	CMIC-CP Co.,Ltd. is founded.
	August	HAEDONG SS Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.(CMIC CMO Korea Co.,Ltd.)is acquired as a subsidiary.
	September	CMIC is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Formed strategic alliance with Celtic Pharma Management L.P. FUJIFILM CMIC HEALTHCARE Co.,Ltd.is founded.
2006	March	The Shanghai branch of CMIC(Beijing) Co.,Ltd. is established.
	April	Rx Drug Marketing Business License has been granted. CMIC BRASIL PESQUISAS CLÌNICAS LTDA. is founded.
	May	KineMed Enters Alliance with CMIC in Japanese Market
	September	CMIC SS CMO Co., Ltd.is acquired as a subsidiary. Non-Rx Drug Marketing Business License has been granted.
	October	Formed strategic alliance with Accium BioSciences, Inc., Institute of Applied Medicine, Inc. launches Genetic Polymorphism Analysis.
	November	CMIC Asia-Pacific,Pte.Ltd. is founded.
2007	April	CMIC-CP Co.,Ltd. assigned Contract-MR business to CMIC-MPSS Co.,Ltd.
	May	Expanded the strategic Alliance with KineMed.
	December	CMIC-VPS Corporation is acquired as a subsidiary.
2008	April	Site Support Institute Co.,Ltd. is acquired as a subsidiary.
	August	Merged with CMIC-CP Co., Ltd.
	October	Site Support Institute Co.,Ltd. merged with CMIC-CRC Co., Ltd. , as the surviving entity.
2009	March	Site Support Institute Co.,Ltd. acquired Medical Trailas,Inc.
	April	Notice of Acquisition of Type 1 Medical Device Marketing License has been granted.
	July	CMIC and DAIICHI SANKYO Sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Transfer of Ownership of the DAIICHI SANKYO PROPHARMA Shizuoka Plant.
